The pattern is always the same.
Wherever Good goes,
Evil follows its trail,
Causing malice to trail behind it.
Wherever Evil travels,
Good is at its heels,
Causing joy to spread.
Good and Evil been
In war for centuries,
Neither overpowering the other.
As they fight,
Innocent people get caught in their
Blazing fire of hatred
My beloved son
Gave himself to
My old foe, Depression.
Everyday a piece
Of him fades away
Until he is nothing more
Than a ghost.
My beautiful wife
And
Her brave, older brother
Hurled themselves
Towards Death
To protect their loved ones
And
Strangers
Alike.
They left me
In the arms of my forgotten allies: Misery,
Suffering,
Pain,
Hatred,
And
Revenge.
They whisper in my ear,
“Blood!”
“Death!”
“Pain!”
“Misery!”
“Sweet Revenge!”
As I watch the Earth
Grow older
Every second.
Before I drew my last breath,
Before I moved on to the next life,
I heard an arrow slicing through the air
Towards me
And
Pierce my chest,
Allowing Good and Evil
To enter my heart,
Destroying me from
The inside out.
