The moon shines out of the everlasting darkness, accompanied by its children and fallen warriors, the bright, kind stars. The breeze whistles through the small wizarding town, Chawalk, carrying the whispers of the forgotten and broken. Most of the town was asleep, lost in the Dream World. You wouldn't think that anything could disturb this peaceful night, but you are wrong.

Inside one of the houses was a man who has midnight black hair, golden eyes and sharp, pointed ears. He wore a white shirt, black pants, and winter blue shoes. Over his clothes, he wore a light blue robe with designs and runes of the Winter Count. At his waist, a silver sword designed with Winter Count runes surrounded by a light blue and white aura hung from his belt, shines brightly in the room. He was humming a lullaby to a 1 year old sitting on his lap, cuddling against him. A moment later, a woman with light brown hair and emerald eyes, enter the room. She wore a black shirt, blue pants, fingerless, black gloves, and white shoes. She across the room and sat on the couch next to the man with the 1 year old. The man put his arm around her, pulling her close. Tonight is just a peaceful night. At least they thought.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. The man narrowed his eyes at the sound of the knock. He gave the child to his wife, and with his hand on the hilt of his sword, he open the door. Standing on the doorstep was a tall, lanky man. His black, long hair shadowed his face. His eyes glow milky white with a smudge of blood red through the night. From head to toe, he was dress in black. Over his shoulders, a parchment black cloak covered him. At his waist were a sword and a few daggers hang from his belt. He started to stride into the room, but the golden-eyed man drew his sword, stopping him.

"What do you want, Chaos?" asked the golden-eyed man.

Chaos smiled a malice smile," Your children, Gabriel."

Chaos drew a dagger while he was talking; striking at Gabriel's right side of his ribcage, but Gabriel stepped out of the way, knocking the knife out of his hand, putting his foot down the fallen knife and kicked it out of the room. Chaos drew his black-red aura sword with the Kingdoms of Evil runes on it, the tip stained in crimson red blood. Gabriel and Chaos started sword fighting, their swords clashing against each other with auras glowing black, red, light blue, and white.

When the swordfight entered the living room, Emma clutched the little boy closer to her chest as she exited the room and into the hallways. She rushed into a peaceful room where the moon's light entered the window, shining on a little baby sleeping in a white, wooden cradle. Emma gently put the little boy next to the baby. She then pulled out her wand, and hurry through the doorway and the hallway, into the living room.

Chaos was spitting out blood as he swung his sword at Gabriel's ribcage, but Gabriel counter the attacked with his sword, nearly slicing Chaos's face in the process. Chaos gritted his teeth as he swung his sword at Gabriel's head, but Gabriel ducked at the last second and striked Chaos's right leg as he passed by, watching Chaos glance at the huge, deep gash in his leg pouring out crimson blood and smirked at it. Mad psycho, Gabriel thought as he charged toward Chaos, aiming at his chest with ice spears that appeared in the air along with his sword. Chaos's body lit on fire while he countered the attack, pushing Gabriel away from him with his sword. He melted the ice spears as Gabriel produced an ice wall between Chaos and himself. In a millisecond, Chaos melted a hole through the ice wall and caught Gabriel in a chokehold, his body still on fire expect for his hands, which are now little, sharp spikes, perishing Gabriel's neck. He whispered so softly in his ear, his breath stank of something that was sickly sweet. Gabriel could not make heads or tails of the words. Suddenly he could not move, his sword falling from his hands. He felt as if he was made of jelly, like under his skin and hair was nothing; a helpless creature waiting for death. Chaos chuckled in Gabriel's ear as he stabbed him in the chest, stopping Gabriel's heart from beating again, golden blood bloomed from his chest, staining Chaos's hands and in the process of stabbing Gabriel, Chaos made an X on his chest.

Chaos was about to stab Gabriel in the stomach when suddenly he was blown off of Gabriel by invisible strings, landing on his head hard on the floor, cracking on the side. Emma was standing in the doorway, a brown, wooden wand her hand. In the other was a sword with the spring green and sun yellow aura surrounding it and Summer Court runes on it. Chaos sat up, crimson blood tricking down his face and staining one of hands as he clutched his now aching head.

He glared at Emma, growling," Women!"

He strode towards Emma, his sword stained with golden blood; Gabriel's blood. When he was three inches away from Emma, he pulled out his wand, murmured a spell under his breath, light blue flowing into the air towards Emma. At the last second, Emma also murmured a spell under her breath, creating a green shield that blocked Chaos's spell. She took a step towards Chaos as the green shield vanished, aiming her sword at his chest, but he blocked the attack, pushing her away.

"Limpsellx!", Emma shouted, black lights coming out of her wand.

"Xellmacl!", Chaos answered, white lights flowing from his wand, swinging his sword towards Emma's head.

He stepped aside to avoid the Dumbo spell as he advanced towards Emma, swinging his sword towards the area where her lungs were. She ducked to avoid the Bone Breaker, dodged the attack, and charged towards Chaos, aiming for his back, but he turned around in a flash second, countered the attack, and stabbed Emma in the right side of ribs with a dagger in his other hand. Emma gasped in pain, crimson blood flowing over her pants as she fell on all fours.

"Wdxlayqjo!" shouted Chaos, pointed his wand at Emma, red lights flowing out of his wand.

The red lights surrounded her and she shouted in pain, shaking uncontrollably on the floor. He stalked toward her, a dagger and his wand were in his left hand while his sword was in his right hand. He then held Emma in a choke hold, pushing the dagger into the skin of her neck, his breath trickling the back of her head.

"Where are your children?" Chaos asked harshly.

"Kneel down and choke on your own blood," Emma answered harshly back.

Chaos whispered in her ear,"Thfexawnmd."

His dagger cut clear through her neck. Emma fell beside Gabriel, who was still and motionless, with his eyes closed, his heart never to beat again. Emma just glances at him as she took her final breath, crying silently, watching her life flash before her eyes in a millisecond. Then all Emma saw was the enteral voids of darkness and nothingness, her body lifeless and motionless, her eyes wide open, her heart, like Gabriel's, will never beat again.

Chaos laughed as he kicked the dead bodies around. They could have avoided their fate by handing in their children, he thought. He just stood in the middle of the room, and stared at his foe's dead bodies. Chaos shook his head and smiled harshly. He would have killed Gabriel and Emma even if they handed their children to him. He knelt beside the corpse of Gabriel and stuck his fingers into his bloody chest, blood flowed down his hand. Slowly, Gabriel's body disintegrated until the only thing left of him was a hollow husk. He move toward Emma and stuck his fingers in her chest, feeding off of her remaining life force until she too was just an empty husk. Chaos then jumped to his feet, his fingers stained with golden and red blood as he put his wand and dagger away. He stalked into the hallway, kicking Emma's head as he passed by, and started opening random doors. He snarled at himself, wondering where the brats were.

Chaos opened almost opened all the doors expect for the two doors opposite of each other. He stalked toward the door on the right side of wall. He opened it, taking his wand out of his pocket, and peer into the room that belonged to the 1 year old child. He walked into the room, looking where Emma hid the children, his eyes looking through the blue walls of the room for secret passage ways and using his wand to detect spells and magic. When he found nothing, he stomped out of the room, muttering curses under his breath as he tried the other door.

Inside, the walls were purple and black. Against the south wall, opposite from the doorway, was dresser, a closet half open, and a small box of toys. On the left side of the room was a small table, a small chair, and the window, which moonlight streamed through, shining on a white, wooden cradle and rocking chair that was against the right wall. Chaos spotted the little baby girl and 1 year old boy, sleeping in the cradle. Or so he thought they were.

The 1 year old was awake during the fight, listening to sounds of pain and death of his parents. In the middle of the fight, his little baby sister awaked, but she didn't cry. Instead she joined her big brother and also listened to the sounds of blood, rage, and murder. They didn't understand what was happening, but they sense danger. When they heard footsteps, the little baby girl and the little boy glance at each other, lay down, and close their eyes, narrowing them so they could still see what going on in the room. Chaos chuckled softly as he switched his wand for his dagger and put his sword into its sheath. Slowly, he stepped toward the children, his left hand making a fist around the dagger, a psycho smile on his face. At the front of the cradle, he first observed the little boy from head to toe. He shifted his gaze to the baby girl, also observing her from head to toe. He then move to the left side of the cradle, where the baby girl laid, raised his left hand in the air and let it fall toward the baby girl's neck. The boy closed his eyes completely, not wanting to watch his sister's death.

Suddenly a surge of energy came from the baby girl as the dagger made contract with her skin, sending Chaos flying towards a black wall, his back hitting the wall hard. Pain speared through his spine. He gritted his teeth, putting his head against the wall, staining the wall with his crimson blood. The girl and the boy opened their eyes, staring at the strange man. The boy moved closer to his little sister, hugging her to him. She laid her little head against his chest, her eyes never moving from Chaos. They both wondered what just happened when surge of power escape from the girl's body and knocked the man off his feet.

Chaos glared at the children, hissing between teeth. When the pain numbed in his back and spine, he threw the dagger at the little boy's face. The little boy watched the dagger sliced through the air, aiming for his nose. He closed his eyes, waiting for the impact, hugging his sister closer to him. His sister closed her eyes, buried her face in his chest. When the dagger barely touched the boy's nose, a surge of energy came out of him, sending the dagger back at Chaos, striking through the middle of his palm and into the wall.

Chaos growled loudly as he pulled the dagger out of his hand, switching it for his snow white, wooden wand. The children opened their eyes, staring at the man again; amazed of what just happened and wonder why it happened yet again. He pointed his wand at them, ignoring the aching pain in his palm as his hand slowly healed; pain slowly fading from his back, making it easier to move; and shouted,"Thfexawnmd!"

Black, red, and white lights came out of his wand, towards the children. This time the children kept their eyes opened as the lights swirled around them. They didn't fall on the mattress, motionless, still, and silently. Their hearts continue to beat with every breath they took. Instead they stared at the colors in wonder and amazement.

When the storm of colors faded away, Chaos growled and hissed between his teeth, unhappy that the children were still alive from the Death spell. At this point, Chaos wanted to cut off their heads and rip out their hearts out, but knew he could not do it now, but there is always a next time. His right hand turned into fire as he jumped to his feet. He threw the fireball at the floor, watching it spread quickly throughout the room and into the hallway. The man then shadow traveled out of the house into the endless, eternal night; blending in with the faceless shadows of lost souls who whispered in Chaos's ear in thousands of languages. Knowing the fire will not kill the brats, he promise himself that he will find the reason why he couldn't kill the children and find another way to kill them if it is the last thing he does before the Fates decide to cut the silver thread with solid golden scissors, ending his life with a snip.
